Fees and Finance

Information to help you estimate how much it will cost to study on the International Foundation Programme.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the International Foundation Programme are as follows:

Academic yearFee
2025/26£28,000

All students on our International Foundation Programme pay the same international fee rate as detailed in the fees and finance section of these webpages. However, sometimes students progressing to undergraduate degree study can be eligible for one of our Home fee statuses.

If your fee status for progression to undergraduate study is determined to be a fee status other than Overseas/International, you may face increased competition when applying for your undergraduate programme and/or may be required to achieve higher grades in any conditional offer you receive. If you think this may apply to you, please contact us for further advice by e-mailing futurestudents@ed.ac.uk.
