Induction timetable for the 2023/24 International Foundation Programme at the University of Edinburgh. Image The IFP Induction Week will take place at the University of Edinburgh's Holyrood Campus from 10:00 Monday 11 September in Godfrey Thomson Hall, Thomson's Land. The induction period will run each day until Friday 15 September 2023. Please ensure that you arrive in good time as this week is mandatory. If you are unable to attend, please e-mail IFPStudentSupport@ed.ac.uk as soon as possible to let us know. The purpose of this week is to introduce you to the campus, prepare you for starting classes and allow you to meet your peers as well as our IFP team. Here is the schedule for the induction week with more details about what will be covered: Day Times Activities Monday 11 September 10:00-13:15 BST IFP team introductions, programme briefing, technical briefing, campus tour. Tuesday 12 September 10:00-13:00 BST Course choice, course briefing on academic English, welcome lunch. Wednesday 13 September 10:00-12:45 BST (All IFP students) 13:00-16:00 BST (Art and Design students only) Student support at the Centre and wider university, campus orientation. Thursday 14 September 10:00-12:00 BST Visa briefing, opportunities to get involved in the University, the IFP Buddies scheme, question and answer with 2022/23 IFP students. Friday 15 September Any time you like Guided activities to complete including international check-in, revision of induction information and getting ready for Week 1 of teaching.
