How we are structured

We support 11 academic Schools, the cross-University Centre for Open Learning, the Edinburgh Futures Institute and the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities.

We have around 3,700 academic staff and more than 1,300 colleagues in Professional Services roles across our 11 academic Schools, the Centre for Open Learning, the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities.

Our Head of College is Vice-Principal Professor Sarah Prescott. She is responsible for the overall management and strategy of the College and is supported by our Deputy Head of College, Professor David Smith. Several Deans and Associate Deans provide additional leadership capacity in support of the College’s strategic ambitions.
