Munro Lectures

A series of public lectures from international scholars in the fields of archaeology and anthropology.

Dr Robert Munro (1835–1920), an Edinburgh-trained physician, left medical practice in 1885 to pursue archaeology. With Lord Abercromby, he helped establish international prehistoric archaeology in Edinburgh. In 1910, he founded the Munro Trust at the University of Edinburgh to bring leading scholars in anthropology and archaeology to lecture.
