The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to highlight the contributions of Professor Shannon Vallor, Director of the Centre for Technomoral Futures, and Professor Ewa Luger, Chair of Human-Data Interaction at Edinburgh College of Art, as part of an exciting new expansion of the Bridging Responsible AI Divides (BRAID UK) fellowship programme.

In partnership with the British Academy, seven new Innovation Fellowships have been awarded under the Route B: Policy-led (Digital Society) scheme. These fellowships will embed researchers in key UK government departments, where they will help shape the ethical development and regulation of AI and digital technologies.

This collaboration builds on growing national momentum to ensure that AI policy is informed by a diverse range of academic perspectives, with a strong emphasis on public interest, inclusion, and responsibility.

The fellowships aim to foster deeper collaboration between academia, industry, and government, helping the UK build a more inclusive and ethically grounded digital future.
