Festive holiday closure and support information

The University will close for the winter break at 5.00pm on Tuesday 23 December 2025 and will reopen at 9.00am on Monday 5 January 2026.

While many University offices and buildings will be closed during this period, core services will continue to operate, with some services running reduced or alternative provision.

Student support and wellbeing

The festive period can be challenging, and support remains available throughout the break.

Togetherall provides free online wellbeing and mental health support for all students, available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Emergency and crisis support is available at all times by contacting the University Security Team on +44 (0)131 650 2257.

University-managed accommodation

Students remaining in University accommodation over the winter break can take part in events organised by the Residence Life Team. Details will be shared via email and on the Residence Life Facebook page.
