The Edinburgh Film Music Orchestra is to give a performance at Inspace as part of SoundFilmMusic 2.0, an Edinburgh College of Art-wide collaborative film project running during November 2011.

Edinburgh Film Music Orchestra founder Yati Durant, a composer and lecturer of sound, music and moving image at the University, will conduct his own composition to scenes from Ernst Lubitsch’s 1925 adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan.

The free concert will also include music by William Walton for Laurence Olivier’s 1944 film version of Shakespeare’s Henry V; Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner’s Tango from Kieslovski’s Three Colours (White); and also Durant’s own score for a scene from the iconic 1925 Russian film The Battleship Potemkin.
