In Residence features 13 artists working in residence at Edinburgh College of Art across five disciplines in the School of Design. In Residence exhibition Saturday 22 June 2013, 10.00am Friday 28 June 2013, 5.00pm Evolution House Café, 78 Westport, Edinburgh, EH1 2LE Image As an artist-in-residence, each artist has worked within the College for the last nine months. They are provided with facilities to develop new skills and experiences and to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with insight into the professional requirements of an emerging artist. The work includes James Albon’s sketches of swimmers at Dalry swimming pool and Astrid Jaekel’s papercut illustrations that are currently regenerating Edinburgh’s Rose Street. Also on show will be Jennifer Gray’s stone garlands that can be worn as a necklace or adorn a classical urn, and Rhian Haff’s glasswork that tries to capture shadows. The show Saturday 22 June and runs until Friday 28 June. The show is in the Evolution House Café, 78 Westport, Edinburgh, EH1 2LE. It is free and open to the public every day between 10am-5pm.
