A new director for the Centre for Contemporary Latin American Studies

The College of Humanities & Social Science appoints a Director of the recently-established Centre for Contemporary Latin American Studies.

Following a successful interview process I am pleased to announce that Dr John Ardila has been appointed as the first Director of the Centre for Contemporary Latin American Studies. John will help launch the Centre formally and will lead and develop its activities.

The appointment has been drawn from existing academic staff within the University, from any disciplinary background relevant to the activities of the Centre, who would normally be expected to be in post at grade UE09 senior lecturer/reader or UE10 professorial level.

This is a 0.2FTE part-time appointment. The appointment is for an initial term of three years from 1 August 2013 until end July 2016. The Director’s School will be compensated for the proportion of working time released to be the Centre’s Director.
