Ainslie Henderson won the ‘Undergraduate Animation’ award for I Am Tom Moody, a film that has already been recognised with numerous other awards from across the industry.

Hosted by Lucy Beaumont at the Barbican in London, the RTS Student Television Awards celebrate the best in student television from across the UK.

The jury, chaired by Pat Younge, Chief Creative Officer at BBC Productions, described I Am Tom Moody as a moving, visually-imaginative story using animation to great effect. The maturity of the storytelling allowed a potentially complicated story to flow naturally to a positive conclusion.

This is the second year in succession that a student from the animation department has won at the national RTS Student Television Awards, which demonstrates the high quality of work being produced at ECA.Ainslie is already hard at work completing his next film, which in some ways is even more exciting than this fantastic news of his latest award.
