Professor Eileen Scanlon, Visiting Professor in the Moray House School of Education, has been bestowed a Regius Professorship by the Queen to mark the Diamond Jubilee. Professor Dorothy Miell, Vice Principal of the University of Edinburgh and Head of the College of Humanities and Social Science, said: “A Regius Professorship is a rare privilege, with only two created in the past century. It is a reflection of the exceptionally high quality of teaching and research at an institution. “Professor Eileen Scanlon, The Institute of Educational Technology at the Open University, is the first Regius Professor in Open Education.
